Typing as I listen. Please forgive any grammatical errors.

-Is it a down year in Louisiana? LSU has double digit offers out currently. Maybe it is? Might have to go out of state.

-Rankings for 2024 class in Louisiana based on On3. These rankings are about to change. In the top 100 only only player in Wardell Mack.

-Shea believes they could have a few more make it. Tylen Singleton, Ju'Juan Johnson, TreyDez Green are some names mentioned.

-No 5 stars and only a handful positioned themselves in the top 100.

-A down year to Shea means you can't tap into Louisiana to build the bulk of your class.

quote:

-Last 5 years they've offered in state

19
24 transition year
13
18
15

Averaging 18 LA kids a year being offered.

-Right now they've already offered 11. Still have spring evaluations and senior seasons so he expects that's number to grown. There will be more Louisiana offers.

-Dominic McKinley just offered in the past few weeks. Trending towards it being a normal year in Louisiana. Just not a top heavy class.

-Not like last year with 3 stud CB's going out of state.

-Shea doesn't believe we will see anyone in the 5 star range. Billy believes someone will emerge.

-Dominic McKinley could be that person. Unranked by most but he has the offers from all the big programs.

-Flip on his tape and he is dominant and has a super high ceiling. He's early on in the process. At LSU camp last year during the 7 on 7. Took a visit before the dead period.

-Billy believes he will be a huge riser in the rankings. Still figuring out his recruiting process.

-Wardell Mack is a huge need. They need a top corner. With Ju'Juan going to Colorado but he plays nickel.

-Tylen Singleton is another major need. He could grow into the LB position at LSU. Should visit LSU in March. recently visited Texas A&M.

-Finding more about Dashawn McBryde out of Denham Springs. Dominant on the field. Great size and length. Similar size to Grant Delpit. Billy could see them offer him in March.

-Maurice Williams committed as a S but could grow into LB. Critical year to replenish the S room.

-Looking at in state guys they could have made late moves in 2023. Staff wants to see players emerge in state.

-Dashon is rated 89 almost 4 star range for On3.

-Looking at the offensive line and guys like Kavion Broussard out of Zachary. Has some big SEC offers and has the LSU staff's attention and could get offered.

-Thinking bout the 8 commits already. Louisiana doesn't give you three D1 QB's. Now there isn't a big name QB in state.

-OL/DL are massive needs this class but you need some big LB's in the class. Need a S or two. Need a TE. WR/DB Louisiana will always give.

-You look at the LSU offer sheet and they already have those offers out. 3 interior DL and EDGE in Cobbins. Elite LB in Singleton. DB's like Mack.

-Kyhree Lee already committed so they can now make a movie for Broussard.

-Early offers and recruiting these guys. They fit the posoiitions that they need help with.

-Xavier Atkins now playing in Texas. Could be tough for LSU to keep him. He will see more recruiting foot traffic. He was a bit of an unknown. He is a true middle LB.

-Wallace Foster is more of a nickel. 510 165 with quality offers.

-Camps will start coming up and they will get the evaluate these guys. Will LSU make some big moves and extend a good number of offers?

-Only 1 WR in state offer right now with Koby Young. Do they move with Josh Jackson at St Aug who has been evaluated. Elijah Garrick at Lake Charles Prep is another guy who could earn an offer.

-State is very interested this cycle. High profile guys jumped out early and now you have guys like McKinley who are coming out now.

-Staff will be a little more careful where they spend resources out nationally. Does the light come off for late offers for Louisiana prospects?

-If you're recruiting a local area during the portal era kids are less likely to leave if they're from Louisiana, East Texas or the Gulf Coast. Parents can come to every game

-Makes sense to build your roster with guys who are likely to stay on the roster. Like Corey Kiner comes in and plays really well but decides later want to play at home.

-Shea says that he doesn't see Louisiana as a down year. It's just not a top heavy year.

-Billy saying for those who freaked/freaking out about the initial LA rankings wait for the evaluations. Players are going to rise and gain interest.

-Staff is doing their due diligence in Louisiana. If you don't want to reach on a kid it's almost better to use the portal.

-LB position is a key position of need this class. Signed two in 2023 class. Bring in Speights.

-Xavier Atkins currently committed. Talented inside LB finding his way as a raw athlete.

-Maurice Williams the wild card. Looks like he might end up growing into a LB.

-Currently two committed but three is the magic number per Billy. Shea says 4 if they were the right guys.

-Shea saw Maurice as one of the games this year and most the DB's are tall/skinny guys but not fully developed. Maurice already looks like he could be on the team right now.

-If he sticks at S he is a Jamal Adams type. Could see LB or S. very Versatile player and a big kid. Looks physically ready right now. One of the best prospects in Texas.

-Tylen Singleton went from S to LB. High on the wish list.

-Atkins is getting recruited by everybody especially A&M. Long way till signing day.

-You can project Maurice to move down but to high that #3 LB and Shea mentions Aledo LB Davhon Keys. Top 25 LB. 4* ON3. LSU has offered and silently been in the mix. Hearing now with Visit coming in March and they press he could join the fold. LINK

-LSU is now reprioritizing Houston and Dallas.

-Staff was early on Keys. Plays both ways at Aledo which is a Texas power. Matt House likes him a lot. Huge visit for Keys and LSU. If he checks the size box he could be a go.

-Billy says if he jumps on board early he could see him sticking.

-LSU offered Daniel Hill out of Meridian. He is a Miss State legacy. Frank offered at RB. 6'2 220 and could easily play LB. Wants to stay ranked as an ATH because being recruited both positions.

-2025 Louisiana is loaded at RB. Very picky on offers for RB this class. Only want one RB in this class. 5 RB offers in the 2024 class. Only 3 heavily recruited at this time.

-Tigers have offered Jaylen Boardley. Should move up in the consensus rankings. Matt house just offered 6'0 190 range. House wants him to camp. Plays both sides of the ball. Super happy to get his LSU offer.

According to ON3's on rankings

21-12 4*, 1 5*
22-15 4*, 2 5*
23-21 4*, 2 5*
24-4 4*

Anyone that says the state is "not down just not top heavy", is being intentionally misleading(lying in other words), don't know their sites own history or just clueless in general. I have followed Shea for years wherever he goes and like the work he and Billy do but what they're saying about the state is not true. It's down. Offers because of preference/location(particularly in our position) and rankings are 2 separate things. Based on their own sites rankings, which were updated less than a month ago btw, the state is down. Sugar coating is sugar coating.

I’m good friends with McKinley’s father and he played/graduated from UL and is a native of Miss, so he is an Ole Miss fan and rest of family are Miss St fans, his mom is born raised in Lafayette area so probably will be a LSU/Ole Miss/Miss St battle but kid is a stud!

2024 will not be a Top 10 and may not make top 15. Another note, It’s crazy LSU isn’t in on any top DL prospects. People will be questioning BKs staff recruiting ability big time this year.

You’re strange. Just spewing nonsense as a troll. LSU has major connections in Georgia, Texas, and now Missouri. There will be a top ten class. Who is questioning Kelly for bringing about more National recruiting? “People”, aka the uninformed like you.
