Those of us who can read will note that I only stated facts to make my case. You, on the other hand, parrot hearsay and conjecture from a 16 year old that may not exist. Here's an invitation for your ignorant arse, come to any St. Paul's game,home side in front of the press box and ask for Houston's family. Then we can carry this debate on in person. Or better yet, watch the game and draw your own conclusions.

like the kid am pulling for him. You got your little feelings hurt and lost control for a sec. Don't come on now and act like your the righteous one. We are LSU fans not just Houston Bates fans. I will second guess every decision made that affects the u. If you follow any un-related threads you would see this is common and by no mean a personal attack. Get your head out of Houston's arse take a breathe then put it back in we need to get every lb. possible.

You recruit the best. LSU has recruited some very fine defensive players that play the same position that Bates plays on defense, I doubt he will even be a situational pass rusher with the kind of talent LSU has on defense.

We could have definitely used a guy like that against Troy and games like that last year.
People sometimes forget that this isn't the NFL and you don't need to be Bruce Smith to succeed.

I was told Bates attended a Nike camp in N.O. and was the highest rated prospect at camp.

I just talked to a kid that plays with him and said that he is a leader and very passionate about winning. He also said that Bates will play any position that he can see the field. Bates feels with the proper weight training that he will either play OLB or DE. This kid will play for LSU for LSU at any position.

yeah i see bates getting pt by junior year. pt like pt vs louisiana tech when we are up. but im not saying he is average we just have a lot of depth. Im sure if he gets redshirted he will be a monster special teams player.
