I think it is great news that his mother called Coach Miles first to inform him that we were sill in the running for her son.

So i nthe dead period recruits/recruits families are allowed to contact the coaching staff but not the other way around?

I believe it goes both ways, just no in person contact with the coaching staff.

i would think they could contact them, in case they commit .. but the coaches can't call and see what's up now.

sort of like a grace period to relax and think about where to go.. ha
