Likely to round out the class with Tahj Jones, Barrow, Mingo and Minter?

We have Lamin Barrow and Kevin Minter committed. Hopefully Mingo too

Which one of these has best chance of starting next year or the year after

Minter no doubt. He is physically ready but mentally is obviously up in the air. Plus Cutrera is a Senior, I expect Minter to be our starting MLB his Sophomore year. He'll likely rotate with Cutrera as long as he develops mentally in the game...
Rivals seriously didn't evaluate this guy right, Scout has him right where he should be, #4 MLB prospect in the country and hes in the 230-240 range that is fast.

Barrow should redshirt this year. I don't expect him to see significant playing time until his RS soph or junior year

Dont forget about Jarvis Jones, we do have his last visit and he's said all along he'd like to get playing time early. With Spikes coming back, that doesn't bode well for him at UF

I'm just assuming we won't get him, but if we do then I'll be pleasantly surprised

Not expecting to land jones. That would just be a nice bonus to this stellar class

Jarvis Jones visited Florida this weekend and is practically committed......im just sayin, dont get your hopes up because that guy is a Gator.

We most likely will finish with Mingo and Tahj Jones. Jarvis is a pipedream at this time, Jenkins eliminated us long ago. Many think Telfort is either USC or FL. This was all before Chavis got on board though, so it leaves a very small window open for some possible change, but I wouldnt count on it.
Minter obviously will get some PT his soph. year, could possibly log some time this year, but we will see. Mingo/Tahj have alot of potential to be exactly the kind of LB chavis looks for, but they have some work to do.

Jarvis Jones is leaning towards LSU from my sources. Spikes staying might have made up his mind.

a) they don'y play the same position even if JJ plays LB for the Gators
b) JJ won't start at Florida next year anyway
c) he is being recruited as a DE by Charlie Strong

no, but there never really is so nothing is out of the usual
best news this year is that we now have a bona fide LB coach in Chavis

Tahj Jones
I have heard a lot about him over the past week or so, but why would the coaches offer him? He is 185 pounds and has a good chance of not qualifying.

at this point, who cares if he doesn't qualify? It doesn't hurt to sign him up
I agree he needs to really hit the weight room before he gets anywhere on the field as a LB

The main problem is that the guys often have to be recruited again the next year. For a guy like Benton, I can understand this, but for other guys, it might not be worth the time.

Have you seen our depth chart at LB. Granted we put 3 on the field at one time. We get thin awfully fast. They were high on Tahj early in the recruiting process, but his grades put him on the backseat. He's close to qualifying now. Might as well take the chance and if nothing else provide a body for the LB corp.
As for Jarvis, there is a small window of hope, but i seriously doubt it happens. But, crazy things happen on signing day, so we will see.
