We have offered yet another WR. Looks like a good slot receiver.

Perhaps we're just not confident in picking him up.. had a bit of a scare with Randle last season.

I'd be absolutely fine with Davis, Hunter, Simon, and Reed/Slot receiver. We're thin at WR anyways. It's more than likely just a backup plan for Reed.

Does this mean the coaches are not confident on Reed?

Watched his film, not bad by any means, but I certainly don't understand this offer. Either Les is trying to put the heat on Reed to commit early, or he just likes the guys new heh-cut.

ESPN says he's a utility type of player who can play either running back or slot receiver....they say he runs like a rb....sounds like a jack-of-all-trades type of player that can run well, block and catch...

the coaching staff is very happy with our position with Reed. Reed is very happy with the way the depth chart will shake out. If this would be a cause for concern to Reed, the staff would pull back on WR offers, but it isn't, trust the staff.

who are you and what do you know

What's your take on Reed? Do you think things point in our direction?

And what of Lache?

says in Scout that he also plays RB. Maybe he is being recruited for this role. also states in ESPNU review that he is better suited as a RB w/ excellent pass catching ability

I wouldn't worry about Reed. We need to worry about keeping the guys we have now commited, they're all OOS WRs. Simon, to me, is going to probably end up at Safety, IMo.
