like Russo better looking at his tape.

Any specific reasons why? I like Russo as well but I don't think he comes close to how polished of a passer Haskins is.

haskins should be the #1 priority but maybe he doesn't want to sit on the bench for 2 seasons with harris starting as a junior and senior.

I could definitely see that, but do you want to start early at a school with no talented offensive prospects and no shot at even a division crown with the talent on hand, or would you rather start at a place with talent packed to the gills everywhere and only a QB and front 7 depth from competing for national championships?

Maryland has been just as terrible for years as we have been passing the ball, so that's not an excuse. If it's academics and close to family, I can see that, but if he's more about the NFL and pro potential, LSU is the way to go. It may look bleak with Harris now, but I can see that dude being really great as a senior (more of a slow build thing). Plus Haskins cousin is here which means at least some family.

Honestly I don't understand not going harder for Haskins. It's like Cam wants the guys that need much more work to be good instead of just tweaking and fixing up on really polished looking passers. I mean I understand wanting Narcisse for 2017, but this is another Harris type that will need several years to become good in a pro style offense. It's why he is on Franks so much. Franks has at least played in an offense under center, but he still needs a lot more polish as a passer.

This isn't Winston with the ridiculous football IQ. So why not press really hard for a guy that will be ready to go with just a year of bulking up and learning the offense in Haskins, and then get your project type next year in Narcisse and/or Thompson?

Haskins to Maryland is old news. That is not the case anymore. He will head to a bigger program. Cam hasn't done a great job if recruiting him, fact! Haskins was always a solid qb prospect, but he has really shot up the charts and will continue to do so when he shows that he's the best Qb in the all star game this week. There are some major reasons LSU is and has always been in it. However, they really put their eggs in the Franks' basket and ignored Haskins by doing so. Cam is obsessed with arm strength and Haskins' mechanics does not fit the monster arm bill, but he's got plenty enough on it and is probably the most accurate passer in this class. Patterson was the first can't miss Qb that we missed and Haskins will likely be the next.

sure doesn't seem like LSU has been "out all" for him. I really hope LSU gets him. I thought he was a better prospect than franks even when franks was committed. I thought shea patterson was a better prospect than franks as well for a college QB.

I guess Cam just isn't enamored with him. Maybe i'm wrong. I really hope he falls in love with him.

you would think as it's crunch time. but cam/les not visiting him one time and him not being asked to camp at LSU is not encouraging.

hasn't felt like LSU has been after him the way we should be. I think he ends up at Ohio State, honestly.
