With LSU only have 81 scholarship players assuming they start the self imposed limitation in 2022, LSU will only be able to offer anywhere between 15-20 scholarship next season, based off ideally 7-10 underclass men leaving early after this upcoming season.
2022 players better commit and sign early if they want to play for the Tigers.

If I understand it correctly, there are two things that help us.
First, all of the transfers and opt outs this past season helpe dus in that regard. We used this year as a way to get some of the scholarship numbers down.
Next, the 5th year guys (that didn't redshirt) do not count against the scholarship limit. Guys like Deculus, Anthony, Kirklin.
So even though we have 86 guys, there are a few that don't count.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm not sure if I completely understand our scholarship situation.

You can count on some attrition. Transfers, dismissals, grades, etc. Always a few of those.
Actually, I wouldn’t be shocked if you see a couple before summer.

Yep. When upperclassmen start losing their position battles to freshman/sophomores...they tend to transfer sometimes.
