Well if it's in Laffy, you might be right. Not sure how things are there.

Not about pets. I can't. I have trespassed to rescue several times.

Have you ever known me to be anything other than Logical?

Have you stolen animals that were in no danger?

I had a cat get out during the beginning of gustav... luckily he is a fat arse and came running back home as soon as I stepped outside with a bag of his food and shook it. Maybe that would work? Or is the wind too loud where you are?

No. Malnourished and sick, yes. Heat and cold, yes. Disappointed in attention/affection shown, no. But I wanted to. I limit my trespass to justification situations only.

So it's not even raining there yet and people still want the guy to go "rescue" the dog

I don't know where they are. I'm in Dallas. I presume they are in the thick of it.

For frick's sake, it's a dog. It lives outside. If it has some shelter, it's fricking fine. Quit meddling in other people's business.

That's different. This pet is in no more danger than it would be in a summer storm.
There is compassion, and then there is overstepping your bounds.
If he knew the neighbors it would be a different story.
If they are in laffy they likely aren't even evacuating. They might just be out for dinner and a movie.
shite people, think about this.

I brought the dog over to my house. It's clearly still a puppy. I don't know what the storm is going to do, I don't know if those people are home or not but I left a note stating that I was just worried about the dog and that they can either call or come over as soon as they see the note. I don't care if you think Lafayette is just going through a typical summer storm, as I too don't think it's going to get that bad, I just didn't want the dog to get out or be stuck outside through whatever potential weather we may experience. I fully plan on returning her home as soon as it passes or the owners come and get her.

So you are a meddler, a trespasser, and ridiculously overreacting.
I'll let the cops know there are pet looters in Lafayette now.
Way to make good neighbors.

I'm guilty. I'll just call my dad and turn myself in. I'll probably get the cell next to BSL.

My dogs in the back yard
What kind of danger is he in?
Will he be dead tomorrow morning?
You think every hunter with a pack of hunting dogs put his 6 beagles in the laundry room?
