Well Pump Issues

Hey guys, my buddy just sent me this from his fairly new construction home’s well pump. Said pressure inside is pulsating.
Not sure how to post cell phone videos, but the PVC going down to the pump is jumping up and down a few inches, while the pressure fluctuates up and down. See below, that little galvanized tee is where it’s popping up and down every 4-5 seconds.

Probably needs to check for air in the line somewhere. Also the pressure switch could be bad.
Looks like he could back that blue plug out a bit and check for air.
I'm not familiar with this exact setup, is the pump in the ground?
ETA: has he maybe lost power recently? Prolly just needs to bleed all the air out and it will be fine.

Sounds like your water table is dropping down below below the foot valve.

Thank y'all, going to go mess with it this afternoon.

I'd check the air pressure in the pressure tank first.
Also... if the pressure switch is bad (not very likely since it's a new construction though), I'd also replace that galvanized nipple with a stainless steel one. That galvanized nipple WILL eventually corrode and clog.

looks like the check valve in pump has gone bad.

He ended up having the guy who installed it come out yesterday. Let me ask him, I know he tried bleeding the air, and drained the tank and refilled, with no luck.

No telling, one of those things where he did a few different things and ended up working. Couple tank flushes, bled air, and flushed tankless water heater, and it started working right.
