Good Morning TD!
Looking to see if anyone has experience with Water Softeners. We just built a home in Central, TX (20 min south of Austin) and apparently our water is really hard. We have been bombarded with Water Softener sales reps. We let one do the test in our house.
Looking to see if anyone has had experience with buying one from Lowes or Home Depot. Trying to avoid spending $4k-$5k from the door to door companies unless people think it's worth it.

The water is very hard here in this part of Texas due to the limestone. I live in San Antonio and have a Dupure water softener. I like it a lot, but it was in the 4K-5K price range.

how many grain system do you need? I have installed 2 Fleck systems and both are performing great years later.
