I own a commercial grade rug doctor. When we purchased our home it was filled with carpeting but we've put in all hardwoods so don't use it except for throw rugs and cars, now.
I want to clean some chairs and sofas though. I need recommendations on the best concentrate fluid to use on upholstery.

Folex is a miracle worker. It’s technically a carpet cleaner but it works like a charm on furniture!

Thanks. I'll try that when I have spots, but I want recs on upholstery cleaner for refreshing the entirety of the fabric, not just a spot remover.
But that stuff sounds good for spots, though.

Doesn't rug doctor make one? Pretty sure I used it when I rented one. If it was their brand it worked well.

What are you looking to do OP? Disinfect, clean like wash, etc.? Upholstery is just heavy fabric for the most part. So anything you use for fabric can be used. It’s a matter of getting it back up cleanly. Any soapy residue will attract dirt and stain easier in the future.

Have some furniture that's just collected normal dust and residue over years. Time to just freshen the fabric. That's all. Exactly as you said; don't want it leaving any residue that'll attract dirt.
