When is the best time for Gavin Waldon to plant his tulips?

last fall or winter, sadly, if you're talking bulbs. who knows, you may get lucky and get some quick growth, depending on where you are. most of the bags will say the best time to plant them, or if you're getting them from a nursery, they should be able to tell you. if you mean already flowering ones from the store, they can go in now and will likely return next year.

Idk where you live but it might not get cold enough for them to bloom year after year. Certain bulb plants need more cold than southern LA gets.

I know a few people that dig theirs up every year and keep them in the fridge (or maybe freezer?) over the winter. I love tulips planted around the base of trees and I would like to do that at some point, to a tree along my driveway.

In south Louisiana, they should be freshly planted around 2nd week of January. They should be stored in the refrigerator prior to that for 8-12 weeks to simulate snow on the ground in colder climates.
