Does anyone have any luck with these planted from store bought, south of I-10. Mine grow and then shrivel uo and die before flowering and fruiting. Never get past 1 month after transplant.

Tomatillos are not self-fertilizing. This means that you need at least two tomatillo plants in order to get fruit.

I live north of I-10 but have had good luck growing them in a greenhouse. Good soil and water seem to make a difference with tomatillos, even more so than with other plants.

I knew that but mine just seem to get a wilt and fade away. Good soil. Regular water.

Do you plant them using seed from store bought fruits or from did you buy plants or seed?
