Thoughts on creeping lily turf?

And blue lily turf. I inherited a large bed of this, but while I like the look, tons of weeds are poking through everywhere. I had thought the dense grass would block sunlight from the weeds. How do people manage this?

Spot spray with 2oz/gal of roundup. Get on your hands and knees and pull some weeds. Then put out pre-emergent 3-4 times a year. I prefer barricade, pendulum, and dimension for pre-emergent. Rotating throughout the year.
