Speed queen mixing valve issue

I had the issue of slow filling washer last year, order a new mixing valve and it corrected the issue. Less than a year later it's doing it again.

My assumption is that since I am on well water some junk is getting into the valve and messing things up. I've pulled the hoses both times and see nothing in the screen.

Wondering if there is some sort of in line filter I should add to prevent this from continuing to happen? Any recommendations?
