Just make sure to use mason sand. It is screened very finely to ensure and pebbles and aggregate aren't present. If done later in the summer when the Bermuda is at prime growing season, I've laid it out thicker than 2" and it still came through (making sure it was irrigated regularly)

Yea, I’m probably going to do it at the end of June when we get through cutting wheat.
