Removing Above Ground Pool - Resodding Area

Hi all,
We moved into a house that already had a 20+ foot above ground pool in the backyard that was looking not brand new. Got a few years out of it but now it’s rusting out and time to go.
First question, what is the best way to get rid of all of the debris? Is there something to rent to put everything in and then someone will come pick it up from our house? Or just throw everything in the back of our truck and bring to a landfill?
Second, does anybody have steps for prepping and sodding the area that will now be exposed? I’d have to guess that the area has had the pool on it for 10 years. BR area if that helps with prepping / grass type suggestions.

If you don't want to break it up and haul it in your truck to a landfill, then rent a small dumpster for a few days and put it in that and they will come haul it off.
As for prepping the ground under the pool, that area is likely going to be hard as concrete since a gallon of water weighs in excess of 8 lbs. and you had many thousands of gallons of water filling that pool.
If this was something I had, I'd rent a good tiller to turn over the soil to about 6 inches depth, rake it level, wet it a bit every day to help it settle since tilling will fluff up the soil and then place sod or seed.
Keep the ground damp until the sod or seed takes root real good and go from there.
