Currently the line that runs to the water/ice maker is inoperable. My current Samsung refrigerator needs to be replaced. I found a GE I like.
1. Is GE an upgrade over a Samsung?
2. Is there a reason I can’t go ahead and throw in the new fridge before getting that line going (it’s a fairly complicated plumbing repair)?

100% - Consider a Whirlpool product as well

Need more info. What's it doing?
I had an alignment issue with my fill trough (or whatever it's called) and it was an easy fix - been going strong for 3 years now.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I switched out my Samsung washer/dryer for whirlpool. Haven’t been impressed by Samsung appliances. Because of my current kitchen configuration I can’t do a French door fridge so I found a nice GE
They fixed my kitchen sink plumbing. It was very rigged up by prior owner. He said to fix it the line to the fridge for water ice would have to be disconnected and to repair whatever underlying issue with that was another 8-900. I said ah fix the sink etc but I’ll use tap/bottled water and ice trays for now

Samsung is only good for making phones and televisions.

GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire are probably top 3 in the average refrigerator in terms of budget and quality.

Regarding your second question: what is going on? Do you have a problem with your water line or something more?

Yes, as they explained the lines were all run incorrectly. Ran everything properly to sink but the fridge does not have working lines run
