Red Ants in Wall

So the kids, the cats, and their food have gotten red ants in the wall. They’re definitely in the wall as I’ve sprayed and sprayed the exterior and no signs of trailing external. I have Combat gel and Terro out but it’s been weeks and they still marching to the food bowl or dropped potato chip. Starting to wonder if red ants go for bait. Any suggestions on other ways to get rid of them?

Try mixing some oil in with the Terro, the bottled gel works better for this. Use olive oil or vegetable oil. Red ants go for protein more than sugar, and Terro has no protein. There is another liquid/gel bait called Protexall Ant-Kil that does better on some ants. It comes in a small, white, round bottle. I've found it at Publix before.
