Earlier in the summer I had a bout with Chinch bugs in my 1 year old newly sodded yard. After treatment it seems that I've lost about 400sf of sod. Is now an appropriate time for re-sodding? Or should I wait until cooler temps? Does it matter?

Currently the area is totally dead and easy to prep for laying new sod (except for a few bunches of Bermuda that is taking over. I'd prefer not to have Bermuda in the front yard.

Thoughts?

TIA

Yes, as long as you keep it watered. My neighbor just laid a bunch of sod by he was stayed on top of watering it.

I probably would.

If it is full sun I'd wait until highs are in the upper 80's to low 90's. If it is partially shaded, especially from afternoon sun you can do it now.
