Radio stays on when car turned off

Friends car has the radio staying on when the car is turned off. It just started occurring. Car is a Kia Sportage. Any ideas?
ETA: I went and looked at car, when I opened door, car started chiming without key in ignition. I am thinking it is a key cylinder issue.

Not sure if he got the "fix" for being able to steal Kias really easily. After our Sorento did, it wasn't quite right. Lights would randomly come on. They replaced the signal arm and it acts like it used to, normal. It was a warranty fix.

Newer Kia or older when the Hyundais were getting stolen?
Is the key far from the car?
IIRC the Hyundai car theft issue had something to do with the USB being used, so maybe there could be some relation to that and what your friend is experiencing.
