Unless you find a remnant prepare to pay out the arse.

Isn’t it that way with any material... granite, quartzite or quartz? In addition to the 7 foot vanity we are putting the same material on top of a shower half wall, shower entrance/curb, and window sill.

My 4 year old wrote all over our quartz with permanent marker.

I tried windex and toothpaste + baking soda before my wife broke out the bleach. I was a little worried it was going to cause some damage but the bleach did a really great job of cleaning the countertops. Then again, it's white quartz with some gray "veins".

My installer used soft scrub. He told me that’s what they use on Quartz. I got Quartzite on my wet bar at that was the wrong choice. Lemons and limes stain the frick out of that thing.

I figured out that aluminum foil is what is causing all kinds of little scratches to appear.

No. Granite and quartzite are natural stones that come from a quarry. Quartz is a engineered material that is poured into a mold in resin form.

People often confuse quartzite and quartz countertops for obvious reasons.

Wow,

We have white quartz with gray veins as well but have never had a single stain or discoloration since we installed it 3 years ago. It's Allen + Roth quartz from Lowes and looks just as shiny as the day it went in. We do a ton of cooking and using ours too.

ETA: We just use Windex and Lysol Wipes and have never had an issue.

It is . I just wouldn’t limit myself to quartz just because it’s the trendy thing and try to find a remnant rather than a full slab.
