No, the intention was to let the thing run 24/7, using what it can off solar and the grid secondary. Free cooling to keep on top
Of humidity and the temps comfortable.

The barn has an unfired As of yet 4 ton Bosch inverter heat pump that really doesn’t look like it will see much run time.

Overnight lows 76-78 lately.

2nd mornings temps were great room 68 and bedrooms 73-74. Good improvement after the first full day running.

One month update.... panels still not installed. Shoulder on fritz and ortho visit on Wednesday. I've been running the unit at 78 when not there and at 74 when I am. I adjust the temp down the night before heading to the farm and it's at setpoint the next morning when i get there. The day following the whole 2700' building is 73-75 with my fluke infrared. This was mid 90's weather. E. bill was 107 for the month of August. This included running the well for about 5 days non stop topping the 1/2 acre pond off. Normally that would be a 50-65$ bill. So I'm happy. Will update again when the panels find a way to get mounted.
