I just bought a house in Arabi, and these little sumbitches are swarming it. They obv don't bite but they're a nuisance.
anyone dealt with these before?
this is all I could find about it online

We've dealt with something like that in North Carolina. My folks live on a lake, and they started showing up probably 7 or 8 years ago now. They swarm to lights at night, and during the day it seems like anywhere the wind blows them.
We were told it is because the lake was unhealthy, and it really seems like short of just poisoning the whole lake there is nothing anyone can do to completely kill them off. I know having the mosquito guy come spray in people's yards helps for some length of time.

Holy crap that's what we've had in our house the last few weeks. Didn't realize it was wide spread. We call them blind mosquitoes. They swarm like crazy around my back patio area and there's no way to avoid letting them in.
For what it's worth I've sprayed a heavy dose of Bifen on my patio and around the back door and it doesn't seem to phase them at all.

Stuff you and I can buy won't make a dent. You need some industrial strength shite, and even then they're coming back. Martins eat the hell out of them if you can put up a home for the birds?
