NOLA Area Termite Control Companies

My wife was about to sign a new Seven Year Termite Agreement Extension with Terminix at a cost of $1,266.00 and an additional $152.00 every year. I have no idea if that number is competitive or not, but it seems insanely high.
Do you NOLA area homeowners maintain termite contracts? If so, who do you use? Does my number sound high?
TIA

I just paid 195 for my yearly inspection with them.
Found live termites and they came out and treated a few months ago.

I wouldn't mind paying $195 ever year, but it seems outrageous to pay more than a grand up front, PLUS a yearly extension fee every year through the contract.
There has to be a better option.

I would imagine the large price is the for upfront treatment and the other is the inspection.

J&J is actually more per year than that, but to go with someone else would mean paying another up front treatment cost. If you have a mortgage lender that requires a termite contract, they have you over a barrel. Otherwise, you can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost but it takes research, time, and effort.
