Conduit and the ability to upgrade is the best option
But there will always be more rg6 in homes than fiber. Because of this, there’s always the motivation of those creating new technology to include the vast majority of consumers rather than just those on the bleeding edge.
But cat6 in most homes will support everything cat8 will, and that’s not going to change. Most home contractors couldn’t properly terminate cat8, and the odds of moving past cat6 to something that needs a minimum of cat8 for a consumer application are far lower than a new technology rendering both standards obsolete.

Not sure, even with conduit, you can plan for what will happen in 5 years.
Besides my AV setup every "smart home" device is wireless. Cameras are wired as well.

That’s the point of using conduit, you can easily replace, or add whatever is needed to accommodate new technology years in the future
