Chance of storms around Cenla from Sunday through Wednesday. Am I good to throw some down or is that too much rain?

It's got really slow release. You're fine. Throw that pelletized feces.

If you're yard is moderately sloped and existing grass has a lot of bare spots it might wash off in those areas with a heavy rain expected in a few days. If you're yard is flat and grass has few bare areas it wouldn't be as much of a risk. I was in the same situation this past week. My yard is sloped and thin in a more shaded area. I waited a few days for the heavy rain to pass. I put the Milorganite out as soon as the rain chance was over.

One thing I enjoy about Milorganite other than it being a great fertilizer is watching some dogs reaction to it when they are being walked by my house. Some dogs roll around in the grass like it is catnip or something.

I can't decide how often to apply it just yet. I currently apply it at the start of May & July and end of August in an Empire Zoyzia lawn. I wonder if it would be even better applying it every two weeks or every month. Does anyone have any experience with what is the best frequency to apply it?
