Home Depot gives you an estimate for free dude. Also claims to install free.

Only pull out carpet.....NEVER install.

How many sq ft and is it going to be seamless across the whole floor? If you’re doing bedrooms only, you can find deals without hitting big box stores.
Look around in FB marketplace and other places where people list stuff online. We built an office off our deck last fall and I ended up finding a place locally that sold remnants and found a guy to install. Office is roughly 11x13 after the studs and drywall were put in. Found a piece for $90 that was larger than that and found a guy that would supply the pad and install for around $150. It’s just basic off white carpet but I wanted that in there to keep it quiet and comfortable for my standing desk.

$5-6 a sq ft OP. I can’t remember exactly but it’s $2.50-3 for carpet, $1 for padding, and $1 sq ft for labor.
