so my house got struck, or lightning struck close enough, this past weekend and have quite a bit of damage to electronics. Wife is bugging me about getting rods to put on the house.
anyone have experience with this? My house is really tall, taller than most in my subdivision and we do not have lots of tall trees in the area.

Whole home surge protection is so cheap and effective that it is finding its way into electric code. There are some distance and location requirements for larger dwellings that I am not yet familiar with but it is worth getting an estimate.
