Killing mushrooms in yard

My dogs keep eating these crusty little brown mushrooms under the pecan trees in my yard and getting sick off them. Can’t really ID the mushrooms and nothing I can find on line really says how to effectively kill them. Thinking maybe get a dump truck load of sand and topdressing my yard in these areas basically turning it into a beach to dry them up. I have access to a golf course top dresser mounted on a John Deere pro gator.

Any chance these are high value pecans truffles, especially if in Georgia area?
I know a guy who trains his dogs to search for those things.

I thought about that but then why are the dogs getting sick from eating them?

Pics of mushrooms?
Are they growing in your cattle manure?

I’d probably get sick from them too if I ate a bunch, haha
What do they smell like? Pleasant aroma or bad smell? I’d be curious to see pictures of one and cut open. Just out of curiosity.
