Standard Mortgage in NO
That's who I am with.. I have been calling them with no response. I sent an email and they emailed me the forms to fill out info, most of which they already have on file. What I am hoping is that I can handle all of this at their office in Metairie and I don't have to go downtown. I am going by there Met. office tomorrow to find out..

I’m in NWLA and I couldn’t do it at the branch in Shreveport. Tried for weeks trying to get a human on the phone down there, never again. I guess I got lucky with my contractor, his bank took the endorsed SF checks with no issue.

Athis-Have you ever gotten a response from standard? I’ve been trying for months and gotten nothing. Finally got my first check from insurance co and need to get it taken care of.
Thanks

I got my insurance check for damages.. The check is made out to me and my mortgage company. Will I have trouble depositing it into my checking account? I tried to call my insurance company and of course they are busy and I had to leave a message to call me back.
In a lot of cases, your mortgage company will just endorse the check and send it back to you, depending on the amount. They all have different thresholds (which I doubt they would disclose).
When you send it up to them, save yourself $20 and do not overnight it. Just send them a 2-day Priority Mail USPS flat rate envelope with signature confirmation added on, and this costs about $12 instead of $33.
