I love the look of the old windows and most of mine on the 2nd floor are quite large double hung type. They measure a good 36 inches across and 6 ft. high with most of them only having 2 large panes per sash but I do have 2 windows on a jut-out that have just 2 panes on the bottom sash and 25 panes on the top sash.

Painting all those windows with prepping and reglazing all those windows is a nasty, time consuming total PITA when they need it.
