I'm looking to build a cheap, mobile, kitchen island.

Just about 4x3, something simple, cheap, mobile. No cabinets. Anyone ever done anything like this?

So just take some 2x4s and make a box then throw a piece of plywood on top?

They sell butcher block pieces at Lowe’s. Get something for legs and throw some wheels on it and done.

For 4x3, I’d buy a stainless steel or wood topped kitchen prep table on wheels, like this:
