HydroGel in the Garden

This product is marketed as a soil additive for retaining moisture and reducing the amount of watering required. Since most plants prefer well drained soil, I question how this would be beneficial.

Any experience?

I dunno but this Hydretain product is very popular. Especially with lawns with little rain. It supposedly works very well.
