Lurking on this board for a while, lot of knowledge on here. Looking for help.

Can you tell me what this is? It's also mixing with my St. Augustine.

If it's a weed, what should I use?

Well that is Nutsedge I’m looking at in both pics. Treat with Sedgehammer (halosulfuron) - safe to use on St Augustine. Give it time to work - takes 2 or 3 weeks to kill it.

ETA: looks like that area holds a little water, which is conducive to sedge establishment. Might want to add to little fill dirt/sand.
