My lawn is primarily St Augustine, but I have a few spots that are not. I can't identify them myself, but one section now has Torpedo Grass creeping in (as you can see in the 2nd picture). I want to make sure whatever it is, I am safe to spray Quinclorac on it to control the Torpedo Grass. Thank you!

Centipede. Quinclorac will kill centipede and St Aug. You'd be better off hitting it with glyphosate.

Doh! Glad I asked. There isn't too much torpedo grass right now, if I can stay sane, would you recommend painting concentrated glyphosate directly onto the torpedo grass blades (thus hopefully protecting the centipede)?

You can try. It is going to be an uphill challenge.

Thanks. I may take your advice and just spot spray the Torpedo Grass. Some dead Centipede won't kill me.
