Surprised I could not find any threads on solarization.
Fall garden was a a fail, so I decided to try it for the first time. Mostly an attempt to kill weeds I imported with some soil in my raised bed. Supposedly it is also good at killing pests and disease living in the soil.
Curious about other’s experiences with it. How noticeable a difference should I expect for next year?

I’ve done it before. It’s kind of a double edged sword. It’ll kill disease and weed seeds, but it’ll also kill the good microorganisms in the soil. And you’ll lose that garden space for a couple of months (doesn’t seem like that’s an issue for you, though). Unless you are having serious soil borne disease problems it may not be worth the trouble.
