My garage door spring broke. Service guy said that in addition to that, my H frame needs replacing. From looks of it I agree with him. He quoted me, $3000 to tear it down and rebuild with same door and new components and H frame. Close to $4500 for completely new door. You guys thoughts?

I had a whole door replaced with motor, springs, etc for $1500 a couple years back. This was your basic cookie cutter garage door replacement

If the spring is broke then ask if you can demo yourself.

Absolutely. The spring is the hardest part. You can take the door apart panel by panel then remove the tracks and opener.

But bruh, $4500? He can gtfo. I paid $4500 a few years ago for two 10x8 doors, second level (not cheapest builder grade), insulated, one glass panel each, with low profile tracks and WiFi enabled side openers.
