Which is better to use in a garden?
Also if I wanted to kill weeds in the woods by my house would a granule or a spray work better? If it's a spray, something like celsius or another type? The woods are shaded.

Freehand vs. Snapshot. Just pick one unless you have specific weeds you are targeting. I use freehand, it is strong on grassy weeds.
As far as your 2nd question, why not just use round up? Sprays usually work better when trying to kill weeds post emergent. Alot of granulars are mainly for residual
