I need a new backpack sprayer. Anyone own one of these? Obviously judging by price the Typhoon must be manufactured for more of a commercial use. But that can be misleading because pest control guys use these things all the time. Maybe one is better for the yard vs pest control. I have a couple of pump up back sprayers that have served me well, but the cheap straps are not very comfortable. My yard is roughly 8,000 Sq Ft. I’m constantly treating my mom’s, sister, and neighbors yards too. It’s sort of become a side hustle not by intention. My neighbors are elderly so I try to treat them very fairly. The neighbors would rather pay me to control weeds because the local companies charge so much and don’t do a very good job. I spray Celsius, Certainty, bio nutrients like Nutrisolve, liquid fertilizers, pesticides, etc. I want something that is easier on my back and more comfortable with better straps. I don’t care that one cost a little more, I just want the one that’s best for doing these kind of applications in the yard quicker and easier. I’ve done a little Google research, but the reviews are not from people as knowledgeable as the ones that post in here.

I use a Spraymate Tornado and have zero issues. Spraymate is the home version of the Flowzone. Both are made by Wessol.

They are basically the same except the Typhoon has a much stronger pump and comes with a larger battery. You can get a reconditioned one from the Flowzone website for a good price that still comes with a warranty. I wanted the stronger pump for spraying siding on a second story, roof, taller palm trees if I need to spray fungicide in the crown, etc. It’s the best sprayer I’ve owned.

I am a big fan of the flowzone sprayers. Check Out GCI Turf on youtube. Pete manufactures a nice assortment of DIY Spray equipment including parts for flowzone Sprayers.

I have since moved on the the GCI Turf Cart Buddy. The only reason I went to the cart buddy was to save time on mixing, but my lawn is about double the size of yours.
