Fertilize mid afternoon?

Can I fertilize now mid to late afternoon? NOLA area — it’s 85 degrees and sunny. I plan to water it in lightly afterward if I do. Or would it be best if I just wait till morning?
Could it really “burn” the grass in this situation? Is that a valid concern?

I usually only fertilize in the afternoon so I know the grass is dry.

Speaking of fertilizer. I spread some 15-0-15 on my centipede lawn Monday but haven’t watered it in. Today is Wednesday. Rain forecast in Baton Rouge for Friday. Any concerns? Do I have to water it in? Or can I just wait for rain?
