Sonos can be great. Mine have issues now and then, and can be very frustrating. But for the most part, I love em. Can’t think of a better option.

There are a ton of better options than an overpriced system that gives most users issues. There shoudl'nt be anything frustrating about playing music through some outdoor speakers.

I spent $160 on two bluetooth only 6.5" outdoor speakers. 6 years later they are still running giving me zero issues. Even connected them to Alexa and play music that way instead of through my phone. They are more than loud enough that my neighbor two houses over and behind me, about 300' away can hear the music even when i don't have the volume up high.

I bought the Sonos speakers first, and after about a week of dealing with them returned them. I just couldn't justify paying 5x more for them when the ones i ended up with worked basically just as good. It was a PITA setting them up but i got it, and yeah the Sonos had a crisper sound, but do i really care that much about that? It sounds just fine coming from the cheaper speakers i ended up with.
