Anyone have/used one? I need a new one and its crazy to me that a saw like this could work well off batteries. I am just a tinkerer around the house, not a professional. It has great reviews and would be nice to have the portability without having to find an outlet and/or an extension cord. homedepotmitersaw

I have a cordless DeWalt tablesaw...I too just kinda tinker and do some woodworking every now and then. Has two batteries, have never had an issue. Cuts really well whenever I use it

So if a tablesaw can perform cordless I’d imagine you’d be just fine with a cordless mitre saw

It can be used with batteries and cord. I don't personally have one because my miter saw is still running like a champ but it will be my next one.

I like the idea of not having to drag the extension cord out for a small job and can always plug it in for the bigger jobs.

i friend of mine has a trim business and he has the bidg dewalt saw with the twin battery set up. he said with heavy cutting he can go 6-7 hours on two batteries. he usually changes them out around lunch with a second set. I was totally blown away by that saw.
