Good morning,

One side of our wire closet collapsed this morning, so we're going to immediately purchase a new and updated closet system. I see some stuff on Wayfair and I've purchased quite a bit from them for tables and other small furniture. Prices from the ClosetMaid and Dotted Line brands of their site look pretty good, but feels like quite a bit pricey for closet systems.

I'm totally unfamiliar with closet system prices, so I could be looking at competitive pricing and not knowing. Any suggestions on the matter would be nice.

our wire closet

I always hated wire racks. They always eventually pull out the support anchor from the walls.

I preferred any type of wooden shelves, either built in or as sectional add ins.

Be careful of wayfare/ikea items that are cheaply made with thin particle board. Have some ideas from your online searches and go to a store to physically see the items on display before ordering.

The wife (no pics) has bought some small shelf items online which don't sit square to the floor or are not stable on carpet (walk-in closet.)

A good closet system WILL cost you some $$, but will last forever.

Are you handy at all? You could knock out some nice built ins in a weekend.

Don't want to break the bank, but we want to last at least 20+ years right now with this house.

I can DIY it but would need the materials, and the closet system blueprints are better than what I would come up with on my own.

The only plus side to this is I can finally the master closet walls.

I got closet maid systems from Lowes and setup mine and my wifes, and they work great.
