Thinking of this tree for a spot in our front yard. It gets a lot of afternoon sun.

Any thoughts on this tree in South Louisiana? Where to purchase? Folsom nurseries?

One of our company offices has a few growing outside the building and it gets full sun. I Googled and it says they need 6+ hours of sun and normal watering. Might need more than just afternoon sun.

Several traded cultivars of the native Chickasaw plums are fantastic, including Guthrie and Odom, with plums much larger than the usual generic Chickasaw, but still smaller than a grocery store Plum. But absolutely delicious and nearly carefree

I have a few in my Baton Rouge Garden that keep me very happy
