Another post-freeze pool question

My pump motor went out before the freeze so my pool has been out of service for about 10 days. I’ve rebuilt the motor and it’s running well. I put back in service today and there is an issue with my sand filter or diverter valve. Since the pool is pretty ugly, I’m expecting to need to backwash a few times. However, when I backwash, I’m not seeing any discoloration at all in the waste water, which is not typical. Usually it’s visibly dirty. It’s been running about 6 hours and I’m not sure it’s even filtering well. Discharge pressures look a little high but not crazy (and I don’t trust the gauge too much anyway). Any ideas?
Are there ways that these 6-way valves can fail, maybe in the freeze that makes them bypass the filter?

There is a gasket under the face that looks sort of like a clock face. It could have gotten broken or the entire valve body could have gotten broken up. Pretty easy to take apart to investigate. Do a YouTube search for how to change the gasket and you should be able to look around in there to see if anything looks off.

Thanks. Will take a look. I ordered a gasket just in case. Seems like a possibility.

When was the last time you cleaned the filter (as opposed to backwashing)?
When mine does that it usually means the shite has gotten too thick and need to open it up and thoroughly clean it.
