What is the price of just the generator. You could probably get it installed cheaper by buying generator and contracting a plumber and electrician to hook it up.

5k for generator plus tax then the transfer switch is 1k the wire, load management, and pipe costs another 2500. So basically I’m the electrician and the plumber, trying to offer y’all a discounted install

Its a good price. Bug thing now will be availability. Last I heard it would be late October or november for generac transfer switches.

Much better than the $26k I was quoted for a 25kw liquid cooled Cummins unit. Generator was quoted at $11k, and $15k for labor. Also got quoted their air cooled 20kw for $18k. The run from the panel to the units location isn't very far and contractor wouldn't allow me to do any of the labor. Needless to say, but I'm not going with the Cummins.

So you’re trying to offer a generac 24kW air-cooled generator for anyone here who’s interested for $11K?

Liquid cooled is far better than air cooled and Cummins is far better then generac

Agreed.

I often wonder How many of these quotes are for a 3,600 rpm generator vs. an 1,800 rpm?

Sorry my message wasn't clear. I know that the 25 kW Cummins is better, I wasn't trying to compare apples to oranges, merely that I'll have to settle for something with a more reasonable to me cost. I haven't seen anyone around the country posting quotes that high for the same equipment. I know I'll be settling for a lower grade of equipment, but the cost is just way too high to go with the Cummins.

Yeah if you’re in central or south Louisiana. I also do the permits and electrical/plumbing if you buy your own.
