Why do Moscona threads get anchored?

I'm seriously inquiring...is it an unwritten TD rule? If so then I'll follow it, or is it a rogue admin with personal ties to Matt? It's a serious discussion about Baton Rouge's largest sports radio talk show...considering there are zero local sports taking place at the moment I'd say it's a positive more than anything, regardless if the theme is positive or negative

If it's an unwritten rule to start Moscona threads then I'll oblige, but I don't get how the guy can have such strong opinions yet be shielded from criticism.
