Web page position on my screen is shifting in response to ads

I'm using Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 and just noticed today that my screen is shifting apparently in response to ads refreshing. For instance, after I have scrolled down to the bottom of a page, my view jumps to the top of the page after an ad at the top of the page refreshes.
