you should consider that there are a lot of things that are not posted about technology bc there is no board for it

That's not just for the tech board. Mods don't want any thread started on the OT with "_____ Board:".

Look at the threads collected from October. It's quite diverse - discussions on TVs, torrents, bluetooth headsets, satellite dishes, browsers, tablets, etc.
Conversely, it seems almost half of the threads on the Music Board take the form of, "What are you listening to right now", or "What do you think about ______".

i doubt that. there is way more news about tech than music everyday. so i would assume a lot would be about tech news instead crap like that

I think what he's saying is that a new, dedicated board brings about more threads on a given topic. Music threads were sparse on the OT, but obviously when you open up a dedicated board for a given topic, more threads are naturally going to be produced.

No...we don't have to. That's my point.
Users tried to do that with the music and golf threads precisely because there weren't enough of those threads to justify dedicated boards. So proponents tried to artificially inflate the numbers. It didn't work.
That isn't the case for Technology threads. The reason I'm here putting forth a case for a tech board is because the data is there. The numbers back it up.
That isn't the case for health/fitness or golf topics.
